The Incredible Journey Book vs. Movie

The book and movie “The Incredible Journey” have a few similarities and a few differences. If you want to read or watch one of them you’ll want to know what they’re about. When I watched the movie after I read the book the differences were shocking!
The characters, plot, and theme are full of changes. I’ll tell you some now.
The characters are very different in the book and movie.  In the movie, the labrador is old, but in the book the bull terrier is old.  In the movie, the cat is a female that dislikes dogs.  This creates many arguments between the cat and the bull terrier, named Chance.  In the movie, the boy, Jamie is an added character.  He owns Chance.  In the book, the bull terrier, Bodger is owned by Peter and the labrador is owned by the father.
The plots had a couple similarities in them and a few parts that were different. The main idea was the same. The three pets, two dogs and a cat, hike their way home to their owners. It’s the details that are a surprise. In the book the three come across a bear, the dogs battle against a farmer’s dog, and the cat encounters a lynx. In the movie
a bear is only ran away from and not fought. Also the DOGS fight a lynx instead of the cat.
In the movie, the cat is washed off of a waterfall and taken care of by an old man.  In the book, the cat is washed down the river and found and taken care of by a little girl.  Another is that, in the movie, the pets look for their lost companions by putting signs up all around town.  Yet, in the book, the kids are barely in the story at all.  In the book, a man named John takes care of the animals when the kids can’t.  In the movie, the pets are dropped off at a lady’s ranch and lost by the man who runs the ranch while the lady is gone.
The moral (theme) in the stories are quite similar to each other.  I think that it is, hard times still have good parts to them, if you don’t quit and lose hope.  And also, it is better to go through rough times with friends, even if you don’t exactly get along with them.  Just like the cat and the bull terrier learned in the movie.
So yes, the book and movie, “The Incredible Journey” can seem very different, but both of them can still be enjoyable.  I personally liked the movie better because the animals can talk in it and that makes it seem a bit more funny with their comments on each others antics and mistakes.  One of the good things about the book is that the animals are all good friends, so it is kind of nice to not see so many arguments and disliking of each other that the movie has.  I would say that you can watch or read either the story, but this will give you a bit of a head start for when you choose.
THE END!!!

Comic Categories

Me and my friends have come up with many types of comics. Each one has it's own category.

"Larry and Lenny" is basic comedy
"Mushrooms" is a lot of repeated comedy
There is "Dr. Dude and Mr. Mad" which is pure violence
We have "The Chronicles of Midge" and it's life and adventure [I'll explain the last part of the name later]
And there's "Larry Fish-cans"which is a fantasy adventure

Yes there are many, many comics yet to be posted!  :]
